Poetry: Redemption

Today seems to be a day for poetry. I just picked up an old journal of mine from 2006 and this was one of my first entries there. It was September and I was living in Durango, learning about myself. This is one of the most important lessons I learned in that beautiful place, one that I live by today. If you don't understand the lesson, let me know and I will be more than happy to explain it you. :)

Redemption

There it is
That moon
That star
You climbing
In your car
I'm a sucker
For a kind word
Attention
Redemption
Am I beautiful?
How beautiful
Could I be to you
When all that
Really matters
Is how lovely
I can be
To me?
